Our vision

Foresight, vision, courage – the visual language of Swiss photographer Georg Gerster (1928-2018) is congenially echoed in the values of our company. We look far beyond industry horizons and bundle our expertise in the topics of real estate, digitalization, future trends and financial investments.

RheinMarken GmbH

With RheinMarken GmbH we are building a real estate portfolio in the German High Rhine region between Lörrach and Konstanz and managing it with a long-term perspective. Through sustainable developments, we generate added value for the environment, society and the economy in the southwestern region of Germany.

Our focus is on existing buildings, which we renovate during ongoing operations. Residential uses are supplemented by stores or gastronomy. This complements larger development projects such as the former brewery in a central location in Waldshut-Tiengen, our initial project with residential use that is now undergoing renovation. Parallel to the future-oriented repositioning of the property, we are focusing on appropriate target groups and usage content in order to develop an interesting place for tenants to live together. RheinMarken GmbH is thus also actively participating in urban development in the region.

We bring our vast expertise to bear and digitally relaunch real estate management from the very beginning. In addition to efficiency, high quality standards are the benchmark here. The tenant is the customer; the management of the real estate is optimized around him and his needs in a user-oriented and sustainable way.

With RheinMarken GmbH, we bring together many years of experience in the areas of real estate, digitalization, future trends and financial structuring in one company. The partnership between the market participants is crucial for the management, high common values flank the cooperation.

The two managing directors Birgit Rahn-Werner and Lutz Peters are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung (gif) and other organizations that focus on the professionalization of the real estate market.

Another shareholder of RheinMarken GmbH is Peter Rahn, Birgit Rahn-Werner’s partner. He is a full-time partner of the oldest Swiss private bank, Rahn+Bodmer Co., based in Zurich, Switzerland. RheinMarken is the continuation of the family office INDEVISE GROUP AG (www.indevisegroup.com). Under the umbrella of this group, Birgit Rahn-Werner and Peter Rahn bundle various direct and indirect investments, developments and advisory mandates.

The RheinMarkenTeam

Birgit Rahn-Werner

the passionate developer of real estate and innovative business opportunities

The RWTH Aachen architect, who has been ranked among the 100 most important real estate players in Switzerland every year since 2017, earned her MBA at the University of St. Gallen and is very well connected internationally. She developed sophisticated mixed-use developments and organizations at various airports and has launched a differentiated portfolio of investments, developments and board/advisory mandates under her family office INDEVISE GROUP AG. A native of the Rhineland, now living in Switzerland, she strongly believes in the Hochrhein region she is familiar with and is building a sustainable real estate portfolio here.

Lutz Peters

the ardent manager along the real estate value chain

Through studies in architecture, engineering and real estate economics, his focus is on the structured development, optimization and realization of complex real estate projects. He understands how to develop and implement efficient processes all the way through to operations and has proven this in multiple projects and organizations. His focus is also on digitalization and sustainability. His holistic expertise and his constant drive for development are valuable for building the RheinMarken real estate portfolio. In addition, he is a long-time confidant of the two shareholders, making the three of them a well-rehearsed and successful business team.

Peter R. Rahn

the experienced financier with local and international roots

Peter Rahn, who has been a partner of Rahn+Bodmer Co. since 1990, the oldest private bank in Switzerland with its founding year in 1750, earned his MBA in Boston, specializing in entrepreneurship. His philosophy of being “an entrepreneur for entrepreneurs” guides his interactions with clients, many of whom have been associated with the bank for generations. To this day, he also demonstrates his skills and stamina in sports as a rower and represented Switzerland in the coxed four at the Olympic Games in Moscow.

“The Hochrhein region is my home. I wholeheartedly support RheinMarken, with the highest level of expertise and commitment to develop its real estate portfolio and thus the region with a sustainable perspective. Birgit Rahn-Werner is a confidant through major projects such as LabCampus at Munich Airport, with whom we, looking far beyond the horizon, were able to develop the projects and also bring them to implementation stage. I am pleased to be able to provide support as an advisory board member of RheinMarken.”
